There were several small groups of Northern Pintail at Wager's Pond this
morning, including a couple of beautifully long-tailed drakes. There were other
waterfowl present, but the glare from the sun was impenetrable at 10:00 AM.
Wager's Pond is in Halfmoon near the intersection of Riverview Rd. and Boyack
Rd. (one can safely pull off to the side of Riverview Rd.) It is the shallow,
expansive body of water to the west of the Northway just north of the twin
bridges.
